The Grand Stage, Chinese Opera Theatre

Construction of the stage started in 1891 and was completed in 1895. This stage and the other two, the Studio of Unimpeded Sound in the Forbidden City and the Studio of Clear Sounds in the Summer Villa at Chengde in Hebei, are known as the Three Great Stages of the Qing Dynasty. This Great Stage is the largest of the three.

大西楼始建于1891年，1895年建成。它于故宫的畅音阁和河北的承德避暑山庄的清音阁，同为清代的三大戏楼，但以它为最大，且建筑精美，气势宏伟。
